George Piemonte's Bio

George Piemonte received his B.S. degree in psychology from the University of Florida in 1982 and his law degree from Nova University in 1987. He is licensed to practice law in the states of North Carolina and Georgia. He was one of the first lawyers in North Carolina to become a North Carolina State Bar Certified Specialist in Social Security Disability Law. George is currently the immediate Past President of the National Organization of Social Security Representatives (NOSSCR), a past Chairman of the Disability Advocacy Section of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice and has served the maximum number of terms as a member of the Social Security Disability Specialization Committee of the North Carolina State Bar. George has practiced law since 1987 and has focused his practice on Social Security Disability and Veterans Disability since 1995. George is admitted to all courts of the State of North Carolina; the Superior Court of Georgia; the Western, Middle, and Eastern District Courts of North Carolina; the Northern, Middle, and Southern District Courts of Georgia; the 4th, 6th, and 11th Circuit Courts of Appeal; the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims; and the United States Supreme Court. He is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, the National Organization of Social Security Claimant Representatives, the National Organization of Veterans’ Advocates (NOVA); the North Carolina Advocates for Justice, was recognized as a Super Lawyer in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022, and has a Distinguished rating from Martindale-Hubbell. George has been married to his wife, Linda, since 1986. He has three children: Jeff, Lauren, and Chris, 3 grandchildren, and two dogs. His hobbies are bowling, working in his yard, and spending time in the mountains.
